Upper lip, brows, chin, peach fuzz on the cheeks. The face is a sensitive zone, but waxing delivers genuinely clean, long-lasting results there. As long as you use the right wax and follow a few ground rules. Here's everything you need to know.
Which face zones can you wax?
- The upper lip (light mustache or peach fuzz)
- The brow line (precision and definition)
- Chin and cheeks (light fuzz)
- Above the brows (to thin them out)
Skip the area under the eyes and the eyelids: skin there is way too thin and delicate.
The ideal wax for your face
For the face, you have to use a wax formulated for sensitive zones. Our Matcha Wax for Face is built specifically for this: gentle formula, great grip even on fine hair, and respect for reactive skin. It's our bestseller for face waxing.
Essential prep
- Cleanse your face with a gentle makeup remover or cleanser. Skin should be clean, with no cream or serum.
- Apply Pre Wax Lotion to disinfect and prep the skin.
- Don't wax your face if you've used retinol or acid actives in the last 48 hours.
- Wait a few days after intense sun exposure or a sunburn.

Application: the precision technique
- Use a small spatula for small areas.
- Apply a thin layer of wax in the direction of hair growth.
- Wait for the edges to set (15 to 20 seconds is enough for small zones).
- Pull in one quick, flat motion against the direction of hair growth.
- Place your cool palm immediately on the treated area. It soothes instantly.
For the brows, work in small strips and go in with precision. Wax gives you cleaner results than threading, but it takes a little practice to get the shape right.
Face aftercare
Some redness right after waxing is totally normal. Apply our After Wax Collagen Mask. It deeply soothes, regenerates, and leaves your skin genuinely soft. Skip makeup for 4 hours and direct sun for 24 hours.
How often?
For face waxing, every 3 to 4 weeks is ideal. With time, hair grows back finer, making each session faster and more comfortable.
