The underarms are one of the most popular waxing zones – several weeks without visible hair growth, ultra-soft skin, and no more checking before you raise your arms. Here’s how to perform a successful underarm waxing session at home, stress-free.
Peculiarities of the Underarm Zone
The skin of the underarms is thin and sensitive. The hair there grows in multiple directions simultaneously, which requires a bit more care during application. The good news: It's a small area, and sessions are quick.
Which Wax for Underarms?
For sensitive skin, we recommend a mild wax. The Coconut Wax, the Tiffany Wax, or the Honey Wax are specially formulated for reactive skin.

Preparation
- Let the hair grow to at least 3–5 mm (approx. 2 weeks after the last shave).
- Clean the area thoroughly and dry it completely. No deodorant on the day of treatment.
- Apply the KOKO Preparation Spray to disinfect the skin and improve adhesion.
Application Step-by-Step
- Raise your arm and stretch the skin. You can rest your arm behind your head.
- Apply the wax in small strips in the dominant direction of hair growth.
- Wait until the wax hardens slightly at the edges (20–30 seconds).
- Pull off with a quick, flat jerk against the direction of hair growth, while stretching the skin.
- Repeat for the remaining areas.
Important Notes
Do not apply the wax to the same spot more than twice in a row. If a hair resists, use tweezers. Do not use deodorant within 24 hours after treatment.

After the Session
Apply the KOKO Aftercare Spray to soothe and hydrate the area. Results last 3 to 4 weeks.
For reactive skin, we recommend the Coconut Wax or the Tiffany Wax. Available individually or in the KOKO 3-pack Box.
